Endodontische Sekundärbehandlung: Warum? Wann? Wie?

Die Erhaltung der eigenen Zähne ist heute sowohl aus zahnärztlicher Sicht als auch aufseiten des Patienten von zentraler Bedeutung. So wird der endodontischen Therapie immer häufiger der Vorzug vor prothetischen und implantologischen Alternativen gegeben. Wenn auch die überwiegende Mehrzahl endodontischer Primärbehandlungen erfolgreich verläuft, können sich im Rahmen der Nachkontrollen persistierende oder neu entstandene Entzündungen zeigen, die eine endodontische Sekundärbehandlung notwendig machen.
