Eine hochwertige Herzdruckmassage zeichnet sich durch die Frequenz, die Kompressionstiefe, die vollständige Entlastung und geringe Unterbrechungen aus. Ziel ist es, eine zuverlässige Organperfusion aufzubauen und über den gesamten Zeitraum der Reanimationsmaßnahmen aufrechtzuerhalten. Ob diese Aufgabe von einem medizintechnischen Gerät übernommen werden kann, ist Gegenstand der Diskussion.
