Nach dem Durcharbeiten des Artikels sollte der Leser die Ätiologie und die Risikofaktoren der nekrotisierenden Parodontalerkrankungen kennen, differenzialdiagnostische Erkrankungen abwägen können und entsprechend dem klinischen Erscheinungsbild das richtige Therapieregime wählen.
