Abstract

The aim of this article is to give a short but decisive summary of the most important guidelines concerning orthodontic planning, with special emphasis on the analysis of esthetic components. In order to create a treatment plan that will prove esthetically satisfactory the article is divided into 3 subdivisions: Macro, micro and mini esthetics. These subdivisions provide a guideline to the most important esthetic issues the orthodontist should consider during clinical examination.
