Novel difluoromethylene-linked C-glycosides may be prepared either by intermolecular radical additions to exocyclic carbohydrate difluoroenol ethers or by addition of difluoroalkyl radicals, from a derived difluoroalkyl sulphide, with allyl stannanes.
