Stereoselective Synthesis of Acceptor Stabilized Prostacyclins

The preparation of acceptor substituted, stabilized prostacyclins is described. In this process use is made of a bulky ester group which additionally lends itself to directing the stereoselectivity of a deconjugation step for the introduction of the exocyclic double bond.
