A simple, high-yield and straightforward procedure for the synthesis of N,N-dialkyl-1-ferrocenylethylamines, immediate precursors to chiral ferrocenyl P,N-ligands has been developed via novel reductive amination reactions of acetylferrocene using titanium(IV) isopropoxide and sodium borohydride.
