The reaction of C60 2 with α-diazoketones 1 leads to 6,6-bridged, closed 1,2-methano[60]fullerenes 4a - e and - after their rearrangement on the C60 surface - to 2’-substituted 6,6-bridged, closed 1,2-dihydro-(4’,5’-dihydrodurano)-[60]fullerenes 5a, d, e.
