Fallbericht: Schwieriger Kl.-II/1-Extraktionsfall, mit Ricketts VTO geplant. 24 Jahre nach Behandlungsabschluss.Vergleich mit dem Befund des Sohnes

Zusammenfassung

Dieser Fall wurde 1972 begonnen. Es handelte sich um einen schweren Kl.-II/1-Fall, bei dem damals 14-jährigen Patienten. Der Behandlungsplan folgte genau der Ricketts-VTO. Die vier ersten Molaren mussten extrahiert werden. Die Behandlung wurde 1975 abgeschlossen. 1999 kam der jetzt 41-jährige Patient mit seinem Sohn zur Behandlung, der eine sehr ähnliche Anomalie wie der Vater zeigte. Nur die Konvexität von 15 mm beim Vater war beim Sohn 7 mm. Der Fall des Vaters wird vorgestellt mit dem Nachbefund 1999 und zum Vergleich werden die Anfangsunterlagen des 11-jährigen Sohnes vorgestellt.

Abstract

This case was treated 27 years ago. It was a severe Cl. II/1 case. The male patient was at the beginning of treatment 14 years of age in 1972. The treatment plan followed exactly the Ricketts-VTO. The four first molars were removed. Treatment was finished in 1975. In 1999 the patient, in the meantime 41 years of age, came with his son into the office. The 11-year-old boy showed quite the same malocclusion, only less convexity (7 mm instead of 15 mm in his father's case). The case of the father is shown completely with the last records taken in 1999 and can be compared with the son's records of 1999.
