Zusammenfassung
Die Zunahme allergischer Erkrankungen erfordert präventive Maßnahmen. Zeitpunkt, Schweregrad
Summary
The increase in prevalence and morbidity of allergic diseases requires more employment
of prevention strategies. The time of manifestation, severity and clinical course
of atopic disease are primarily determined by genetic factors. A great number of environmental
influences, like exposure to allergens and adjuvant triggerfactors are modulating
the clinical course. Sensible strategies of prevention in families with high risk
factors such as breast feeding, hydrolysed hypoallergic formula as well as avoidance
of ambient allergens and drug therapy are discussed.
