Effekte bei der Therapie des Tiefbisses mit Lingualtechnik - Untersuchung von 25 Behandlungsfällen

Zusammenfassung

Ziel der vorliegenden Pilotstudie war es, im Rahmen einer kephalometrischen Analyse Aufschluss über die Veränderungen in skelettalen, dentoskelettalen und dentalen Beziehungen zu erhalten, die sich bei der Therapie des Tiefbisses mit Hilfe einer lingualen Technik ergeben. Die Ergebnisse zeigen besonders bei Fällen ohne Extraktionstherapie geringe Veränderungen der vorderen und der hinteren Gesichtshöhe. Im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Studien mit bukkalen Therapieverfahren lassen sich einige Unterschiede in den Mechanismen beobachten, die zur Verringerung des tiefen Bisses führen.

Abstract

The aim of this preliminary study was to assess, using an adapted cephalometric analysis, the changes occuring in the skeletal, dentoskeletal, and interdental relationships, using a lingual mechanic to reduce an deep bite. Results show a slight change in the anterior and posterior facial height, especially in the non-extraction treated cases. When compared to similar studies using buccal techniques, we observe some differences in the effects of excessive anterior overbite reduction.
