Stellenwert des Operationsmikroskops für die Endodontie

Zusammenfassung

Das Operationsmikroskop findet mittlerweile in Europa und Amerika vielfach Beachtung in der endodontischen Behandlung. Während einige Referenten und Autoren es für unverzichtbar erachten, wird es von anderen als Spielerei angesehen oder als überflüssig abgetan. In diesem Spannungsfeld erörtert der Artikel einige aktuelle Gesichtspunkte, gibt Hinweise auf die wissenschaftliche Evidenz und zeigt anhand einiger Fallbeispiele konkrete Anwendungen.

Summary

The operating microscope meanwhile finds multiple consideration in endodontic treatment in Europe and America. Whereas some speakers and authors consider the microscope as indispensable others see it as a toy or as pointless. Within this area of tension the article depicts some current topicals, gives advice of scientific evidence and shows applications in case reports.
