neurologischen Praxis relevante Ursachen.
Riechdefiziten diskutiert.
Abstract
This article features normal function and dysfunction of human olfaction. There has
been an increasing interest in olfactory dysfunction since it was realized that olfactory
loss is a common sign of neurodegenerative diseases such as idiopathic Parkinson's
disease, Alzheimer's disease, and Huntington's chorea. State-of the-art techniques
for the assessment of olfactory function are presented. Current therapeutic approaches
to the restoration of olfactory loss are discussed.
