1 Präambel

Durch die ansteigende Inzidenz der Karzinomerkrankungen bei Jugendlichen und jungen Frauen, den veränderten Therapiemodalitäten mit organerhaltenden Optionen sowie dem verbesserten Überleben tritt die allgemeine Frage nach Ovarprotektion im Rahmen von Karzinomtherapien auf. Durch die medienwirksame Präsentation des ersten Kindes nach Kryokonservierung am 29. September 2004 ist die Nachfrage durch die nicht ausreichende Information in der Laienpresse gestiegen. Das hier vorgelegte Konzeptpapier soll eine Handlungsempfehlung darstellen. Bei Vorliegen weiterer Daten und Studienergebnissen wird dieses in einem zweiten Schritt als eine Leitlinie überarbeitet werden.
