Rhinoplasty, the surgery that shapes and molds the nose, is a challenge to even the experienced surgeon. The surgery demands the precise manipulation of cartilage, bone, and soft tissue. No other surgery is more unforgiving to the inexperienced surgeon. No other surgery demands excellence in execution, lest the nose continues twisted, obstructed, or both. No other surgery has the ability to enhance the beauty of the whole face with a successful result.

This issue provides the facial plastic surgeon with information regarding the nuances of rhinoplasty. A nuance is a slight degree or shade of difference. In a surgery as complex as rhinoplasty, a nuance can completely change the overall effect of the surgery. As the brilliant architect Mies van der Rohe stated, “God is in the details.” The articles provided will bestow further technical and intellectual refinements to any surgeon's practice.
