Due to technical improvements and due to a higher availability of systems with the
possibility of cardiac examination more and more evidence of magnetic resonance (MR)
as an non invasive diagnostic tool for the evaluation of coronary artery disease (CAD)
is available. Magnetic resonance offers both, functional studies for the evaluation
of ischemia and viability and morphological studies such as coronary angiography and
vessel wall imaging. This review presents the current state of magnetic resonance
in the evaluation of coronary artery disease.
Key Words
