Abstract

Three triterpenoid saponins, hederagenin-3-O-α-L-arabinopyranoside, oleanolic acid-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-L-arabinopyranoside and hederagenin-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-α-L-arabinopyranoside, have been isolated from Caltha palustris (Ranunculaceae). The structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis of the acetates.
