Zusammenfassung
Es werden diagnostische Möglichkeiten einer Ultraschalluntersuchung durch physiologische
und pathologische Schädelknochenlücken, vor allem die große Fontanelle des Säuglings,
mit einem Rotations-Sektor-Scanner mit integriertem Dopplersystem vorgestellt. Registrierungen
normaler und pathologischer Hirnstrukturen werden demonstriert, vor allem bei verschiedenen
Formen des Hydrozephalus, bei intrakraniellen Blutungen, bei Hirntumoren und beim
Hirnödem. Die kombinierte Verwendung der real-time-Technik und der Dopplersonographie
gestattet auch Aussagen zur Funktion. Die Vorteile der Methode, im Vergleich mit der
kranialen Computertomographie, werden diskutiert.
Abstract
Diagnostic possibilities of ultrasonic investigations through acoustical Windows of
the skull, especially the anterior fontanelle of the infant, by means of a rotation-sectorscanner
with an integrated Doppler System are introduced. Imaging of normal and pathological
brain structrures in demonstrated, e.g. different types of hydrocephalus, intracranial
hemorrhage, brain-tumors and brain edema. By use of a real-time technique in conjunction
with Dopplersonography functional analyses can be performed. Advantages of the method,
compared with cranial CT, are discussed.
