Summary
The first case of a pure primary yolk-sac tumor of the lung is presented. The tumor
developed in the right upper lobe of a 31-year-old man; preoperatively, the serum
a-fetoprotein concentration was elevated. Treatment consisted of pulmonary segmentectomy
with postoperative combination chemotherapy. The patient is alive and well 13 months
after surgery with a normal serum a-fetoprotein concentration.
Zusammenfassung
Es wird über einen primären Yolk-Sac-Tumor des rechten Lungenoberlappens bei einem
31jährigen Mann berichtet, der anläßlich einer Routine-Röntgen-Untersuchung wegen
eines 4 × 6 cm großen Herdes im rechten Lungenobergeschoß auffiel. Der Tumor wurde
vollständig operativ entfernt unter Resektion des 2. Segmentes. Nach Klärung der histologischen
Diagnose wurde eine aus drei Zyklen bestehende Chemotherapie mit Cisplatin, Bleomycin
und Vinblastin vorgenommen. 13 Monate nach der Operation befindet sich der Patient
in gutem Zustand.
