Summary
The aneurysmal bone cyst is a benign primary bone tumour. If located in the spine,
it may be responsible for acute neurological symptoms up to a complete paraplegia
or quadriplegia syndrome, making emergency diagnosis and therapeutic approach imperative.
The article presented here describes the symptoms and course of the disease on the
basis of three own observations.
Zusammenfassung
Die aneurysmatische Knochenzyste ist ein gutartiger, primärer Knochentumor. Dieser
kann bei Lokalisation in der Wirbelsäule akut zu neurologischen Symptomen bis hin
zum kompletten Querschnittsyndrom führen, was zu notfallmäßgem diagnostischen und
therapeutischen Vorgehen zwingt. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschreibt die Symptomatik
und den Verlauf der Erkrankung anhand von drei eigenen Beobachtungen.
