Abstract
In addition to eosinophilic granuloma, chondroma, osteochondroma, aneurysmatic bone
cyst, and osteomyelitis, the differential diagnosis of primary costal tumors in children
must also include Ewing's sarcoma. Radiologic diagnostic problems in localizing the
tumor, in differential diagnosis, and the importance of imaging procedures are discussed
with reference to a 16-year-old female patient.
Zusammenfassung
In die Differentialdiagnose primärer Rippentumoren muß beim Kind neben dem eosinophilen
Granulom, dem Chondrom, dem Osteochondrom, der aneurysmatischen Knochenzyste, der
Osteomyelitis auch das Eiwing-Sarkom mit eingeschlossen werden. Probleme der radiologischen
Diagnostik zur Lokalisation, zur Differentialdiagnose sowie die Bedeutung ergänzender
bildgebender Verfahren werden anhand der Erkrankung einer 16 Jahre alten Patientin
erörtert.
