Beidseitige, spontane Patellarsehnenruptur

Zusammenfassung

Rupturen treten an der Patellarsehne weniger häufiger auf im Vergleich zu Achilles- oder Quadrizepssehnen. Ihr beidseitiges Auftreten ist als Rarität anzusehen. Häufig liegen diesen degenerative Veränderungen nach Steroideinnahme oder Systemerkrankungen zu Grunde. Bagatelltraumen führen dann häufig zur Ruptur. Wir berichten über eine 60-jährige Patientin ohne bekanntes Trauma, Systemerkrankung oder entsprechende Medikamenteneinnahme, die sich eine spontane bilaterale Patellarsehnenruptur zugezogen hat.

Abstract

Ruptures of the patellar tendon are less often observed compared to those of the Achilles or quadriceps tendon. A bilateral rupture is a rarity. Steroid medications or a variety of systemic diseases are associated with spontaneous tendon ruptures. Less often traumatic rupture is the result of severe overloading of the extensor mechanism of the knee. We report on a 60-year-old female without an obvious trauma, systemic disease or medication who suffered a spontaneous bilateral patellar tendon rupture.
