Introduction

Minimally invasive surgery is fast becoming the preferred treatment option for many surgical diseases. Furthermore, innovative surgeons around the world are continually pushing the boundaries of minimally invasive surgery. Five articles published in 2006 - 2007 that were considered to have a high impact for minimally invasive surgery are reviewed here.
