Der Einsatz von Einzelzahntorque in superelastischen Drahtmaterialien mithilfe des Memory Makers

Zusammenfassung

Torquewerte sind im Rahmen der Straight-Wire-Technik im Bracketslot vorgegeben. Die Änderung der vorgegebenen Werte ist über Biegungen dritter Ordnung möglich. Konventionell können Biegungen nicht in superelastische Drähte eingebracht werden, ohne das Drahtgefüge zu zerstören. Mit dem Memory Maker[1] ist es möglich, Biegungen jeder Ordnung in NiTi-Drähte einzuprogrammieren, auch Torque. Hierdurch eröffnet sich die Möglichkeit, das auf die Zähne applizierte Drehmoment gegenüber der Anwendung von Stahlbögen oder TMA®[2] deutlich zu reduzieren. Mithilfe eines Messaufbaus wurden die Drehmomente gemessen, die verschiedene Drahtmaterialen der Dimension 0,016″ × 0,022″ bewirken können. Hierbei wurde eine Verbiegung von bis zu 40° simuliert. Der Stahlbogen entwickelte Drehmomente von bis zu 56 Nmm bereits bei einer Verwindung von 20°, ab hier trat eine Permanentverbiegung auf. Der TMA®-Bogen erreichte ein Drehmoment bis zu 56 Nmm bei einem Torque von 35°. Die Permanentverbiegung betrug hierbei 10°. Der superelastische Titanol® Superelastic[1] erzeugte Drehmomente von bis zu 19 Nmm, der Titanol® Low Force[1] 13,5 Nmm, beide bei 40°-Verwindung. Die beim Torque zu erwartenden Drehmomente bleiben durch den Einsatz des superelastischen Materials in einem moderaten Bereich. Die tatsächlich im Munde auftretenden Drehmomente dürften deutlich unter den gemessenen liegen. Die Stellung der Zähne wird mit einem Torqueschlüssel[1] kontrolliert.

Abstract

In the straight wire technique torque values are preset in the bracket slot. The preprogrammed values can be changed by means of third order bends. Bends cannot conventionally be bent into superelastic wires without destroying the structure of the wire. With the help of the Memory Maker[1] it is possible to program bends of each order into the NiTi wires, also torque. This offers the possibility to considerably reduce the applied torquing moment, in contrast to the application of steel wires or TMA®[2]. The torquing moments that were caused by different wire materials of the dimension 0.016″ × 0.022″ were measured with the help of a measuring set-up. Here, a bending of up to 40° was simulated. The steel wire produced torquing moments of up to 56 Nmm caused by a deformation of 20° already. From here, a permanent deformation occurred. The TMA® archwire achieved a torque of up to 56 Nmm with a torque of 35°. The permanent deformation was 10°. The superelastic Titanol® Superelastic[1] produced torquing moments of up to 19 Nmm, the Titanol® Low Force[1] 13,5 Nmm, both in the case of a 40° bending. The torquing moments to be expected remain in a moderate area by the use of superelastic material. The torquing moments actually occurring in the mouth may considerably be lower than the measured ones. Positions of the teeth are controlled by means of a torque key[1].
