Zusammenfassung
Die Wirksamkeit von zahlreichen Phytotherapeutika ist aus der Erfahrungsmedizin bekannt
und schlägt sich in den Monographien nieder. Hingegen sind klinische Studien mit standardisierten
Extrakten eher rar, sodass die Dosisfindung bei Kindern meist auf der Basis von Körpergewicht
und -oberfläche aus der Erwachsenendosis extrapoliert wird. Der Übersichtsartikel
zeigt die Wirkungen und Indikationen von Phytotherapeutika bei Atemwegsinfekten auf
und gibt Dosierungshinweise anhand von Monographien und Studien.
Summary
Herbals for respiratory tract infection in paediatrics
The efficacy of several phytotherapeutics is part and parcel of experience-based medicine
and is widely highlighted in monographs. However, clinical studies with standardised
extracts are seldom. The establishment of doses for juveniles is often based on body-weight
and body-surface by extrapolation of the adult doses. This article shows the efficacy
and indications of phytotherapeutics in the treatment of respiratory tract infections
and offers information on doses based on monographs and studies.
