Zusammenfassung
Die diagnostische Wertigkeit verschiedener Gadolinium(Gd)-DTPA-Dosierungen wurde im
interindividuellen Vergleich untersucht. 33 Patienten mit Hirntumoren wurden randomisiert
drei Dosisgruppen zugeordnet. In Gruppe 1 wurde eine Dosis von 0,025, in Gruppe 2
eine Dosis von 0,05 und in Gruppe 3 eine Dosis von 0,1 mmol Gd-DTPA/kg Körpergewicht
verabreicht. Nach Kontrastmittelgabe betrug der durchschnittliche Kontrast der Tumoren
zum Marklager -4,5 % in Gruppe 1, +8,4 % in Gruppe 2 und +43 % in Gruppe 3. Eine diagnostisch
ausreichende Tumorabgrenzbarkeit wurde in Gruppe 1 in 2 /11 , in Gruppe 2 in 7 /11 und in Gruppe 3 in 10 /11 Fällen beobachtet. Eine Erhöhung der Dosis auf 0,2 mmol/kg Körpergewicht in Gruppe
3 ergab eine weitere Steigerung des Tumor-Hirn-Kontrastes auf +62,5 % und verbesserte
die Tumorabgrenzbarkeit in 1 /11 Fällen. Aufgrund der Ergebnisse wird für die Routinediagnostik intrakranieller Tumoren
eine Dosis von 0,1 mmol Gd-DTPA/kg Körpergewicht empfohlen.
Summary
The diagnostic value of various doses of Gd-DTPA was compared intraindividually. Thirty-three
patients with cerebral tumours were randomly allocated to three groups. Group 1 was
given a dose of 0.025, group 2 a dose of 0.05 and group 3 a dose of 0.1 mmol GD-DTPA/kg
body weight. Following administration of Gd-DTPA the average tumor/brain contrast
in group 1 was -4.5 %, in group 2 +8.4 % and in group 3 +43.0 %. Diagnostically useful
tumour delineation was obtained in two out of 11 in group 1, in seven out of 11 in
group 2 and in 10 out of 11 in group 3. A further increase in the dose to 0.2 mmol/kg
body weight in group 3 resulted in a further increase in tumour/brain contrast of
+62.5 % and improved tumour deliniation in one case. As a result of these findings
a dose of 0.1 mmol Gd-DTPA/kg body weight is recommended for the routine investigation
of intracranial tumours.
