Pathologie der malignen und semimalignen Weichteiltumoren im Kindesalter

Abstract

Cases from the Institute's archives on paediatric tumour pathology are used for the discussion and tabular presentation of important tumour types and problems related to the pathology of childhood soft-tissue sarcomas. This includes the classification of fibrous tumours, especially the fibromatoses. In addition to the known types of soft-tissue sarcomas, clinical and pathological data are presented on sarcoma entities that have been defined only recently: Electron microscopy and/or immune histochemistry are required for the subtyping and differential diagnosis that are essential for treatment and prognosis.

Zusammenfassung

Anhand von Fällen aus dem kinderpathologischen Archiv des Institutes werden wichtige Einzelkapitel und Probleme der Pathologie kindlicher Weichteilsarkome besprochen und in Tabellen dargestellt. Dazu gehört die Klassifikation fibröser Tumoren, insbesondere der Fibromatosen. Neben den bekannten Weichteilsarkomtypen werden auch klinischpathologische Daten von Sarkomentitäten besprochen, die erst in jüngerer Zeit definiert wurden. Die für Therapie und Prognose wichtige Subtypisierung bzw. Differentialdiagnose erfordert den Einsatz der Elektronenmikroskopie bzw. Immunhistochemie.
