Zusammenfassung
Der Einsatz von Tumorprothesen am koxalen Femur findet heute ein erweitertes Anwendungsspektrum.
Neben malignen und semimalignen Tumoren werden auch pertrochantäre Frakturen und Pseudarthrosen
wie aber auch Zustände nach gelockerten konventionellen Prothesen bei schlechten Kortikalisverhältnissen
mit diesen Prothesen versorgt. In 3 Fällen wird eine zementfrei implantierte Tumorprothese
mit Metallspongiosa-Hohlraum beschrieben. Neben der zementlosen Fixierung im Markraum
registrierten wir eine knöcherne Durchwachsung der Metallspongiosastrukturen. Davon
lassen sich günstigere biodynamische Eigenschaften und eine festere Implantatverankerung
herleiten.
Abstract
The following indications are well accepted for subtotal femur replacement:

Malignoma of the hip region.

Pertrochanteric fractures.

Loosening of hip prosthesis in case of large bony defects.
The common devices are implanted by use of bone cement, - we report on three cases,
treated by cementless subtotal femoral replacements with bony ingrowth surface. The
surface design imitates the structure of spongious bone. The mean observation time
of our three patients is more than two years, no complaints are to be observed. By
intensive permeation of bone in the surface structure we achieve a more advantageous
biomechanical situation.
