Zusammenfassung
Die Prüfung der retinalen Fixation ist eine der wichtigsten Untersuchungsmethoden
in der Strabologie. Die aktive Aufnahme der Fixation mit der Foveola setzt eine reife
Afferenz- und Efferenzbahnung voraus, die von Geburt an sicher noch nicht vorliegt.
Bei 234 Babies wurde im ersten Lebensjahr fortlaufend die vermeintliche Fixationsaufnahme
beobachtet und kritisch bewertet.
Summary
One of the most important clinical examinations in strabology is the test for foveal
fixation. This test presupposes a mature primary visual pathway with well established
afferent and efferent reactions, which certainly does not exist from birth. The presumed
retinal fixation of 234 infants was critically examined during continuous observation
in their first year of life.
