Zusammenfassung
Das klinische Erscheinungsbild der Patienten mit Mukozele des Appendix ist unspezifisch,
und eine korrekte präoperative Diagnose aufgrund Abdominalschmerzen, eines palpablen
Tumors im rechten Unterbauch und mit konventioneller Röntgendiagnostik ist selten.
Die Diagnostik der Appendixmukozele ist durch die Anwendung der neueren Untersuchungsverfahren
Ultraschall und Computertomographie einfacher geworden. Es wird über 6 Patienten mit
Appendixmukozele berichtet, und die charakteristischen Röntgenbefunde sowie die Differentialdiagnostik
werden diskutiert.
Summary
The clinical features of mucocele of the appendix are nonspecific, and a correct preoperative
diagnosis based on abdominal pain, a palpable mass in the right lower quadrant, and
conventional radiography is rare. The diagnosis of appendiceal mucocele has become
easier with the utilisation of the recent imaging techniques ultrasonography and computed
tomography. Six patients with mucocele of the appendix are presented, and the characteristic
radiological features and differential diagnosis are discussed.
