Zusammenfassung
Bei Patienten mit Keratokonus kann oft auch mit bestmöglicher Brillen- oder Kontaktlinsenkorrektur
nicht ein voller Visus erreicht werden. Es stellt sich dann die Frage, ob dies immer
durch die gegenwärtige Optik bedingt ist, oder ob dies vielleicht partiell durch eine
verminderte, retinale Sehschärfe mitbedingt sein könnte, auch wenn morphologisch keine
Anhaltspunkte dafür bestehen. Deswegen wurde bei 80 Keratokonusaugen die retinale
Sehschärfe mit dem Visometer nach Lotmar gemessen und mit 50 Normalaugen von Kontaktlinsenträgern
mit ähnlicher Refraktionsanomalie verglichen.
Summary
Despite optimal correction with spectacles or contact lenses patients suffering from
keratoconus will, in many cases, not have full vision. The question then arises as
to whether this is always due to the present state of the optics or is perhaps partially
the result of diminished retinal visual acuity, even if there are no morphological
reasons for it. Therefore, the retinal visual acuity of 63 eyes suffering from keratoconus
was measured by means of the Lotmar visometer and compared with 57 normal eyes of
30 contact lens wearers presenting with similar refraction anomalies.
