Summary

The efficacy of transluminal angioplasty for the treatment of peripheral atherosclerotic disease has been well documented. The successful treatment of abdominal angina has been reported (1-3), although the follow-up is too short to accurately evaluate the long term results of this procedure.

Zusammenfassung

Die Wirksamkeit der Durchleuchtungsangioplastie in der Behandlung der peripheren Atherosklerose ist gut belegt. Es liegen Berichte über eine erfolgreiche Behandlung des Mesenterialgefäßverschlusses vor (1-3), obwohl die Zeit bis zur Nachuntersuchung zu kurz war, um gültige Schlüsse hinsichtlich der Langzeitergebnisse ziehen zu können.
