unentbehrlich. Für die Extraktion der normalen senilen Katarakt ist aber seine routinemäßige
Anwendung nicht notwendig. Vorteilen, besonders für das exakte Setzen der Nähte, stehen
Nachteile gegenüber.
Summary
For many ophthalmic surgical procedures a well-equipped operating microscope is indispensable.
However, it is not necessary to use the microscope routinely in the removal of normal
senile cataracts. While there are advantages, particularly as regards accurate suture
placement, there are also disadvantages.
