Zusammenfassung

Neben der ersten Nephrektomie mit definierter Indikation (Simon) und der Einführung der Zystoskopie (Nitze) ist die retrograde Pyelographie ein Meilenstein der urologischen Fachentwicklung. Sie begründet die eigenständige urologische Röntgendiagnostik und trägt noch heute zur Verbesserung der Indikationsstellung urologischer Operationen an Niere und Harnleiter bei.

Abstract

The introduction of pyelography by F. Voelcker and A. v. Lichtenberg is a milestone in the history of urology. This examination formed the basis of urologic radiology and still provides improved evaluation of disorders of the ureter and pyelon.
