Abstract

Peripheral blood lymphocytes of parents of children suffering from generalized ceroid-lipofuscinosis were entirely free of structural abnormalities; these were found exclusively in affected children. It is concluded that screening of lymphocytes is not suitable for detecting heterozygotes of juvenile type of ceroid-lipofuscinosis.
