Eine Hypertonie ist multifaktoriell bedingt. "Doch egal aus welchem Blickwinkel man die Hypertonie betrachtet, stehen die Gefäße beziehungsweise der mit der Zeit ansteigende periphere Gefäßwiderstand im Mittelpunkt" erklärte PD Friedhelm Späh aus Krefeld. Die ausgeprägteste Senkung des Pulse-Pressure - beziehungsweise sogar einen Wiedergewinn der Gefäßelastizität - erreichten Sartane und Kalziumantagonisten [1].
