Zusammenfassung:

Zu den seltensten Tumoren des männlichen Urogenitalsystems zählt das Adenokarzinom des Rete testis. Wir berichten über einen 50jährigen Patienten mit einem linksseitigen, metastasierenden Adenokarzinom des Rete testis pT4 pN1 und vorausgegangener Epididymektomie wegen eines Adenomatoidtumors. Trotz multimodaler Therapie einschließlich inguinaler und retroperitonealer Lymphadenektomie sowie cisplatinhaltiger Polychemotherapie verstarb der Patient im Tumorprogreß 35 Monate nach Diagnosestellung. Anhand der aktuellen Literatur wird dargestellt, daßeine aggressive und multimodale Therapie notwendig ist, um die Chancen für die Patienten zu verbessern.

Abstract

Adenocarcinoma of the rete testis is one of the rarest malignancies of the male genitourinary tract. The case of a 50-year-old man with a leftsided, relapsing adenocarcinoma of the rete testis with the surgical history of adenomatous hyperplasia of the epididymis is presented. Despite multimodal therapy including inguinal and retroperitoneal lymph-node dissection as well as cisplatin-based polychemotherapy, the patient died of disease 35 months after diagnosis. Aggressive and multimodal therapy is necessary to improve the outcome of the patients. The current literature and therapeutic options are discussed.
