Abstract

Most of the congenital ovarian tumours are retention cysts believed to be due to stimulation of the ovary of the foetus by maternal sex hormones. Follicular and luteal cysts account for most ovarian cysts in neonates.

Zusammenfassung

Die meisten angeborenen Ovarialtumoren sind Retentionszysten. Man nimmt an, daß ihre Entstehung auf einer Stimulation des fötalen Ovars durch mütterliche Geschlechtshormone beruht. Die meisten Ovarialzysten im Neugeborenenalter sind follikuläre und luteale Zysten.
