Eventration of the Intestine from the Navel of a One Month Old Baby

Abstract

A case of an intestinal eventration from the navel of a one month old baby after the cauterization of an "umbilical granuloma" was presented. The event was considered to have occurred due to the rupture of a small umbilical defect covered not by skin but by two thin membranes, the amniotic membrane and peritoneum.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird ein Fall von Darmvorfall durch den Nabel bei einem 1 Monat alten Säugling vorgestellt. Der Vorfall ereignete sich nach Kauterisierung eines ,,Nabelgranuloms". Es wird angenommen, daß es sich dabei um eine Ruptur eines kleinen Nabeldefektes gehandelt hat, der nicht mit Haut, sondern lediglich mit 2 dünnen Membranen, dem Amnion und dem Peritoneum, bedeckt war.
