Abstract

A high speed liquid Chromatographie method is described for the analysis of bitter components in crude drugs from Gentianaceous plants, using a silica column and chloroform-ethanol mobile phases. From the precision and recovery rates in standard addition tests, this quantitative method was considered to be excellent.
