Vorgehen geschildert.
Abstract
As the acceptance of orthodontic treatment in adult patients is increasing, orthodontists
are sometimes confronted with periodontally diseased patients or are asked to treat
the unesthetic sequelae of periodontal disease. This article intends to make the orthodontist
familiar with the basics of periodontology. The sequence of periodontal therapy as
well as indications, prerequisites, aims and possibilities of periodontal surgery
are described. Resective and regenerative / augmentative ways of surgical pocket reduction
are described in detail. For some selected clinical pictures the typical approach
is given.
