Significance
Desymmetrization of three meso-bicyclic hydrazines was achieved by rhodium-catalyzed hydroformylation to give after reduction the corresponding alcohols with modest enantiomeric excess. The effects of reaction parameters (including ligand, metal source, temperature, pressure, and substrates) were discussed in detail.
