Abstract
Actinomycosis is a bacterial infection caused by Actinomyces species that are commensal
in the human oral cavity, digestive tract, and genital tract. The present case highlights
actinomycosis of the hypopharynx, mimicking malignancy in 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography-computed tomography.
