Michel Kahaleh et al. Gastric peroral endoscopic myotomy for the treatment of refractory
gastroparesis: a multicenter international experience
In a multicenter cohort study, the authors report that 85 % of patients with gastroparesis
had symptomatic improvement after gastric peroral endoscopic pyloromyotomy (G-POEM),
which was evidenced by an improvement in gastric emptying time on scintigraphy. G-POEM
appears to be a promising new treatment in selected patients with gastroparesis.
