Philip Roelandt et al. Impact of endoscopy system, high definition, and virtual chromoendoscopy
in daily routine colonoscopy: a randomized trial
This comparison between conventional white light colonoscopy, virtual chromoendoscopy,
and high definition versions, using each of the three major endoscopy systems, found
no differences in the rates of adenoma detection or adenoma per colonoscopy in 1855
individuals. However, high definition conventional colonoscopy was associated with
higher detection rates of serrated adenomas and adenocarcinomas.
