Meta-analysis evaluating whether virtual reality (VR) simulation training can supplement
and/or replace conventional patient-based endoscopy training for trainees with limited
or no endoscopic experience. Although VR simulation training can supplement conventional
endoscopy training, there was no real evidence that simulation training is of greater
benefit than conventional training.
