Lea Fayad et al. Cryoballoon ablation for gastric pouch and/or outlet reduction in
patients with weight regain post Roux-en-Y gastric bypass
Study reporting results of cryoballoon ablation therapy in 22 patients with weight
regain after Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Technical success was 89.5 % for outlet ablation
and 93.0 % for pouch ablation, with significant reduction in sizes for both. Although
patients also demonstrated weight loss, studies on longer-term risk of weight gain
are required.
