The single-bite and double-bite techniques for detecting early signet-ring cell carcinoma
(SRCC) were compared in patients with hereditary diffuse gastric cancer. The double-bite
technique was found to be faster than the single-bite technique, with similar biopsy
quality and diagnostic yield for SRCC between both groups.
