Yervant Ichkhanian et al. Endoscopic full-thickness resection of polyps involving
the appendiceal orifice: a multicenter international experience
The results of endoscopic full-thickness resection (EFTR) are reported in this multicenter
retrospective series of 66 patients with appendiceal orifice lesions who were not
candidates for surgery. Technical and clinical success rates of EFTR were found to
be high (89 % and 80 %, respectively); however, appendicitis occurred in 17 % of patients,
of whom 60 % required surgery.
