ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration samples
This pilot study of 58 patients with pancreatic masses shows that the preservation
fluid remaining after processing of fine-needle aspiration samples for cytology is
a rich source of proteins associated with pancreatic cancer, which can potentially
be used for research on pancreatic cancer biomarkers and as a tool to aid pancreatic
cancer diagnosis.
